Chief Executive Officer
John’s career started whilst training as a quantity surveyor and he quickly moved into the management side of the construction industry. His business acumen has been honed over 35 plus years, during which time he has developed an extensive network of contacts, which will be extremely beneficial in bringing banahCEM to market. Whilst carrying out a wide and varied range of management responsibilities, he was also successful in the development, production and delivery of render systems such as K-rend, a market leader in the UK dry bag render sector. John’s desire to reduce the impact of CO2 produced by the construction industry and to improve upon already good products was his inspiration in the formation of banah.
Since graduating from his Business Studies Degree, which provided a wide and varied insight into the requirements of the modern business world, Kenny has built upon his qualification by gaining practical experience in all aspects of business life within construction. Having been involved at various levels in the supply of construction materials for the past 10 years, his knowledge & passion has proved invaluable to banah through their embryonic stages. Kenny brings a fresh and innovative approach to the areas of procurement, logistics, HR and marketing. He is passionate about developing focused teams with an ethical culture and value system to ensure the success of banah’s commercial future.
Director of Research & Development
Qualifying in Biochemistry, Andrew has spent the last 17 years within the construction industry. During this time he has carried out various supervisory roles being responsible for quality control, research and product development. Andrew has been instrumental in the production of new hydraulic lime renders and was part of the team that delivered K-Post to market. Since joining banah, Andrew has led the research and development of geopolymer based products, resulting in the production of banahCEM. He now heads up the multi-disciplinary research team within banah as they continue to develop geopolymer solutions, providing the global construction industry with a blueprint for a climate friendly future. Andrew is recognized as a leading member of the geopolymer community and has represented banah at numerous seminars and conferences. His knowledge of geopolymer technologies has recently been recognised by Queen’s University Belfast.
Within banah UK Limited, Catherine oversees the accounts department, she is also responsible for human resources, intellectual property administration, and the implementation of new systems and processes. Since graduating from her Accountancy Degree, Catherine qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Her experience within PwC provided her with a valuable insight into the operations of both small and multinational companies, and equipped her with the business expertise required to lead a growing company such as banah UK Ltd. After qualifying, Catherine took on the role of Senior Accountant within Fitch Chartered Accountants, here she had responsibility for a number of clients in a variety of industries. Having been involved in accountancy for the past 7 years, her knowledge and attention to detail has helped strengthen the finance department in banah.
