banahCEM product range is a new group of low-carbon cements based on a geopolymeric (or alkali activated) binder system. They have been specifically developed to produce products that are resistant to chemical and heat attack or may be used as a low-carbon replacement for Portland cements.

BANAHCEM THERMAL IS A GEOPOLYMER CEMENT (OR ALKALI ACTIVATED CEMENT) THAT IS OPTIMISED TO BE A FIRE RESISTANT INSULATION PRODUCT PRIMARILY SUITABLE FOR USE IN PRECAST OPERATIONS. IT MAY ALSO BE MIXED WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE AGGREGATES AND FILLERS FOR USE IN HIGHER TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS OR WITH LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATES TO FORM LOW DENSITY CONCRETES. IN ADDITION TO THE NORMAL BENEFITS OFFERED BY A GEOPOLYMER CEMENT, BANAHCEM IS CHARACTERISED BY A RICH TERRACOTTA COLOUR.

banahCEM THERMAL IS SUPPLIED AS A THREE COMPONENT SYSTEM:–

1. banahCEM Thermal (a) – powder component
2. banahCEM Thermal (b) – hardener component
3. banahCEM (FA) - foaming agent

EXAMPLE MIX DESIGNS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTHS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

 

Storage

KEEP AT A TEMPERATURE NOT EXCEEDING 50oC AND DO NOT ALLOW THE MATERIAL TO FREEZE. PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE BUNDING FOR HARDENER CONTAINERS. ALUMINIUM CONTAINERS ARE UNSUITABLE FOR STORING banahCEM. banahCEM MAY BE STORED FOR A MAXIMUM OF 12 MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF DELIVERY.

1. banahCEM Thermal (a) is packaged and transported in 1m3 bags and 26 tonne tanker loads.
2. banahCEM Thermal (b) is available in 1000 liter IBC’s and 26 tonne tanker loads.
3. banahCEM Thermal (FA) is supplied in small liquid drums
